Information for 7th Grade Students

REGISTRATION UPDATE

Registration has begun! Registration will continue until September 13th or until 100 students are registered. After 100 students register, a waitlist will be started until we have at least 20 more students on the waitlist. If we have 120 students, we will be able to open up registration to those on the waitlist until the last bus is full.

DC Trip Dates: June 11th-16th, 2020

Trip Information - Urbandale Middle School’s 42nd Annual Trip:

Students in 7th grade will have the opportunity to go on the Washington D.C. Trip in June of 2020, after their 7th grade school year. Registration will begin in September. Students will need to register by September 13th. Please view the tentative itinerary below.

Thursday, June 11 – Depart U.M.S. around 2:00 p.m.

Friday, June 12 – Day 1:

Gettysburg National Military Park

Guided Battlefield Tour, Cyclorama, Museum, Gettysburg National Cemetery

Arrive in Washington D.C.

Iwo Jima Memorial

MLK, Jr. Memorial

FDR Memorial

Jefferson Memorial

Saturday, June 13 – Day 2:

White House and Washington Monument (picture stop)

U.S. Capitol Tour and Supreme Court (picture stop)

Pentagon Memorial

Arlington National Cemetary- Laying of Wreath at Tomb of Unknown Solider

Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial & Korean War Memorial

Sunday, June 14 – Day 3:

Einstein Statue, WWII Memorial, and Washinton Monument

Holocaust Memorial Museum

Depart Washington D.C. for the Colonial Williamsburg Area

Busch Gardens

Monday, June 15 – Day 4:

Jamestown Settlement – Indian Village, Replica Ships

Colonial Williamsburg

Tuesday, June 16 – Arrive at U.M.S. around 11:30 a.m.
