After the Committee Review is completed, the UPRM Finance Office issues its Salary Certification, and the UPRM Chancellor signs the required sworn statement, the UPRM R&D Center will compile these documents and submit your application package to the Puerto Rico Science, Technology and Research Trust. You will be copied in this email.

The PRSTRT will evaluate all complete applications and reach a determination on their eligibility, as required by DDEC. When this process is completed, the Trust will notify the applicant of the result via email, and if both the applicant and the project are determined eligible a certification to this effect will be included.

The applicant will then have to download the application package the R&D Center submitted and the PRSTRT Certification and apply for a Tax Exemption Decree through DDEC's online portal.
