Committee Review

  • When your pre-qualification form and file uploads are validated as complete by your deanship, you will be assigned a case number and your application will be queued for evaluation.

  • The UPRM Researcher Tax Exemptions Committee will evaluate all complete applications and reach a determination on their eligibility, as required by the PRSTRT and DDEC. When this process is completed, the applicant will be notified of the result.

  • A link in the notification email will allow applicants to appeal a committee decision, should they disagree with the outcome.

  • Once a project and applicant are deemed eligible, the UPRM R&D Center will compile the application documents, salary certification and chancellor's sworn statement and submit them to the PRSTRT, copying the researcher.
