When you speak to an audience, what should you do to be understood?
Instructions: You will answer the key questions from the beginning of this chapter. Each answer should have a minimum of 3 sentences. You must also comment on one of your peer's forums. This activity will be the first thing you will complete in each module. I will be keeping track of your progress and answers to make sure you did it and to give you points.
Objectives
After this class, the students will be able to:
Define what debates are.
Differentiate the affirmative and negative sides of debates.
Understand what the PEEL structure is.
Learn how to speak publicly better.
Review about Debates
Debates have to sides: Affirmative and Negative. Each speaker has a special role.
Speakers can use the PEEL structure to organize their arguments.
In public speaking, use eye contact, hand gestures, voice projection, and pacing.
