Multimedia Studies 172 is a course that I currently co-handle with multi-awarded sound engineer Mike Idioma of Wildsound Studios.
Audio in Multimedia covers the application of audio in various forms of content such as standalone audio, audio with stills, audio with moving images and audio combined with text. This course will cover the basics of sound and how it works, recording, mixing and the proper way of using sound as a medium for story telling and presentation. Everyone is encouraged to present a multimedia project with emphasis on audio at the end of the course.
Audio is arguably the most neglected part of media production. That is why there is a very good chance you have encountered a sound-related issue in a media content or project. This course aims to help you identify, analyse and find a solution to these issues.
