Aims and Scope

The journal aims to provide a forum for high-quality research in the areas of language and communication. The journal invites papers on language, linguistics, applied linguistics, literacy, language use in communication, and other related fields. 

History

The Journal of Language and Communication (JLC) of the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, Universiti Putra Malaysia, published its inaugural issue in March 2014. JLC is dedicated as an additional platform by the university to provide the research and academic community to disseminate their works internationally in the growing fields of language and communication. JCL is a refereed journal published in English, and submitted articles are subject to double-blind review by experts in the field.  

Goal of JLC

We aim for excellence, sustained by a responsible and professional approach to journal publishing. Submissions are guaranteed to receive a decision within 14 weeks. The elapsed time from submission to publication for the articles averages 5-6 months.

Future vision

We are continuously improving access to our journal archives, content, and research services. We have the drive to realise exciting new horizons that will benefit not only the academic community but society itself.
