Tezga tells you, from a photo of a part, what to ask for and where to buy it. This page explains in plain words what information goes where when you use Tezga.
In short: No account. No ads. No tracking. We don't store your photo on our servers. Your results stay on your phone.
Who we are
Controller: Murat Ayas, Istanbul, Türkiye. Contact: tezga@upigai.com
What we use and why
Photo of the part: When you tap "Look it up", and only after you consent, it goes through our proxy server (Cloudflare) to OpenAI (USA) to identify the part. We don't keep it. OpenAI may keep it for up to 30 days to prevent abuse, then deletes it. OpenAI does not use it to train its models.
"What is it from?" note (optional): Sent with the photo by the same path, to look more accurately. Kept the same as the photo.
Your phone's language and region: Sent with each look-up to the proxy server and OpenAI, to give the name used in your country. Not stored.
Random device ID: Sent with each look-up to the proxy server, to count your free daily look-ups. The counter is kept up to 30 days.
Hash of your IP address: Used to prevent abuse. We never store your IP address, only a daily-changing, one-way hash, kept up to 30 days.
Reports (reason and part name): Sent to the proxy server when you tap "Report", to improve results. Kept up to 12 months.
Location: Only when you tap "Use my location", sent from your phone to Apple Maps to find nearby shops. Never sent to us. Apple's terms apply.
History, your measurements, consent record: Stored only on your phone, until you delete them or the app.
Subscription: If you buy Plus, payment is handled by Apple. We never see your card.
The device ID contains no name, email or phone number. It is randomly generated and used only by this app.
Before sending, we shrink the photo on your phone and remove location (GPS) and camera metadata. Still, keep only the part in frame: no faces, license plates or addresses.
Consent
We ask for your explicit consent before any photo is sent to OpenAI. Without consent no photo is sent; the example result and other features keep working.
You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings → Withdraw photo consent. The dates you gave and withdrew consent are listed in Settings → Consent record.
Who we share with
OpenAI (USA): the image model that identifies the part, under a data processing agreement. Privacy policy: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
Cloudflare (USA): hosts our proxy server and counters.
Apple: Maps search and subscription payments.
We don't sell your information or share it with advertisers. The app contains no ads, analytics or tracking tools.
International transfers
Your photo and the data sent to our proxy are processed on servers in the USA. For users in the EEA and UK, transfers rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses in our providers' data processing agreements.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Turkish KVKK), you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to processing, and complain to your data protection authority. You can remove everything stored on your phone by deleting the app. For counters and reports on our server, email tezga@upigai.com and include the ID from Settings → Support → Device ID (press and hold to copy).
Children
Tezga is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We'll publish any changes on this page. If where your photo goes or how it is processed changes, the app will ask for your consent again.
