The Maymester program is a new pilot program at UPEI from the Office of Study Abroad and International Collaboration. This is one of the amazing short-term study abroad experiences that happened in May 2019.
The objective of this program was to create an international opportunity accessible to students from every single faculty on the UPEI campus. The Maymester program targets the period between when school ends to when summer employment begins, which caters to a time where students are looking for some fun before their summer job. The great thing about Maymester is it pairs fun and travel with education.
Our Maymester in Spain was a two and a half week course that took place from April 28th to May 16th. The purpose of this course was to focus on the Camino de Santiago, a famous pilgrimage in the northern region of Spain. For more information about the course, visit our course information page.
