Airport Shuttle and Taxi Booking

Students - Everyone will arrive on the Faroe Islands on Monday, May 13th. When you arrive at the airport, you can find your shuttle driver using the reference ‘University of the Faroe Islands’. They will have a list people arriving (and possibly a sign that says ‘University of the Faroe Islands’). If you miss your flight for some reason, please email or call Anna Sofía ((+298) 292537). Note: this only applies to people arriving on Monday, May 13.

Shuttle is 200 DKK

Taxi is 650 DKK

The drive from the Vagar airport to Tórshavn is about 40 minutes, with beautiful scenery along the way.

Currency

There are two currencies of equal value in the Faroe Islands: the Faroese króna and the Danish krone. More details about money and credit cards can be found here:

You should advise your credit card provider that you'll be travelling.

Receipts

Be sure to keep your receipts for any expenses that your University will reimburse you for later.

Flights

Flights to the Vagar airport in Faroe Islands will be arranged by each university.

Plan to arrive in the Faroe Islands on Monday, May 13th. You may depart anytime on the 22nd of May.

Please send your flight information to: AnnaL@setur.fo so that we can arrange for transportation from the airport.
