Clerk of Session Reports
Andy Chadwick, Clerk of Session
Report of Session Activities for June 2022–May 2023
2022–2023 has continued to be a time of transition and experimentation for United Presbyterian Church. We have continued to hold hybrid in-person/streamed services. A fair number of people tune in, but not all on Sunday morning.
While Session continues to oversee the routine operation of UPCB, here are a couple of highlights:
Session periodically revisited the question about masking during worship. Since Palm Sunday, the risk in Broome County has consistently been reported as low. Session voted to remove the mask mandate, but reserves the right to reinstate the mandate if the risk level in Broome County rises.
The Addiction Center of Broome County (ACBC) has leased the Library Lounge, Terrace Room, and Chapel to operate an overnight Comfort Station. After several months of preparation, it began operation in May.
Please keep the pastors and Session members in your prayers.

She and the Rev. Becky Kindig then left the room and the Clerk presided to review the Terms of Call for the pastors.
On a motion duly made and seconded, the Terms of Call for Rev. Chastain and Rev. Kindig were unanimously approved. Rev. Chastain and Rev. Kindig then returned to the room.
