Virtual Courses for incoming students
UPAEP is pleased to offer the virtual exchange for the first semester of 2022 (January to May), to all those students nominated through their international offices of our partner universities in agreement and members of our different national and international consortiums (SUMA, ANUIES, ODUCAL, CONAHEC and ISEP).
This new modality will allow:
Apply to 1 to 3 courses at UPAEP, to study virtually and / or in parallel with their academic load at their university of origin.
Complement your academic training, finding those subjects that can provide added value in your international training.
Link with UPAEP students and professors, both in academic matters and in cultural aspects.
APPLICATION PROCESS
The International Office of your home university must send the following nomination file with the students's information and the selected UPAEP subjects to the email: intercam@upaep.mx
Deadline: December 15th, 2021.
IMPORTANT: The application to the virtual exchange will only be accepted when sent directly by our colleagues from the exchange office, in this way we know we will maintain an official confirmation channel and we will know that the students are validated by the university of origin.
COURSE OFFER
In each of the following boxes, you will be able to consult the offer of the courses, which is grouped by area of study according to our deanships.
Virtual exchange classes start: January 17th, 2022.
NOTE: Prior to the start of classes, a virtual orientation will be held (January 12th, 2022) to explain the use of digital platforms at UPAEP, as well as the academic and evaluation system of our institution.
L I N G U I S T I C R E Q U I R E M E N T S
Option 1: To enroll in the regular offer in Spanish with Mexican students, the international student needs to have a level of B2, or at least a level of B1, as a minimum level.
Option 2: To enroll in regular university courses taught in English, a level of TOEFL ITP 500, TOEFL IBT 61 or IELTS band 6 is required.
A C A D E M I C C R E D I T S
1 academic credit is equivalent to 16 hours of classroom learning.
Each subject has an average of 6 to 10 credits, that is, between 96 and 160 hours.
1 UPAEP credit = 1 ECTS credit
2 UPAEP credits = 1 Credit in the United States
E V A L U A T I O N S Y S T E M
Each class has an evaluation rubric, which integrates attendance, participation, homework, assignments, projects, and exams. Teachers will share this information on the first day of class.
Most classes will take three monthly exams and a final evaluation.
G R A D E S C E R T I F I C A T E S
Once the semester is over, an evaluation form of the virtual exchange experience at UPAEP will be sent to all exchange students and later, the final grade certificate will be sent by email to the student and to the internationalization coordinator of the university of origin .
Fall Semester (August to December): Final report card will be sent by email the second week of January.
Spring Semester (January to May): Final report card will be sent by email the second week of June.
