Paul Reine Kennett L. Dela Rosa
I am an Associate Professor at the Institute of Mathematics, University of the Philippines Diliman. My office is room 211 of the Math Building Annex which is located at C.P. Garcia Ave., U.P. Campus, Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines 1101.
I completed my Ph.D. in Mathematics at Drexel University in Philadelphia, USA. In general, I am interested in the algebraic and analytic aspects of linear algebra (over finite and infinite dimensions) and its applications (most notably, quantum information theory). My research involves topics such as matrix compressions and dilations, matrix decompositions, matrix inequalities, and numerical ranges and numerical radii. If interested to work on a collaboration or graduate student research, please reach out via email prkdelarosa [at] math [dot] upd [dot] edu [dot] ph.
I am the organizer of the MALA seminar at UP Diliman (please contact me if interested in attending or giving a talk). I also make it a point to attend the Matrix Seminar at UNR. I have given several talks at different seminars/conferences.
I am currently mentoring a number of graduate students. I teach a number of undergraduate and graduate classes. For my future students: I ask several questions during class and I expect students to practice solving exercises outside class hours (see Testing Effect).
