Activity mechanics
The students will be divided into groups, with the number of members varying with the total student number of the year level participating. Students from the College of Nursing, Physical Therapy, and the Department of Social Work may have a heterogenous distribution as the number of College of Medicine students outnumbers the 3 other participating colleges.
There will be 4 categories in this integrated learning activity. These 4 categories were identified as different levels of patient care, and each category has its respective outputs. The 4 categories, along with the year level distribution (based on college of medicine year levels) and expected output, are as follows:
All participants will be provided with trigger cases that serve as their jump-off point for working on their respective outputs. The essence of the activity is that members of each group work collaboratively and apply their respective expertise to create the expected outputs. The students will be required to submit their outputs on May 8, 2025, at 12:00 noon. All outputs will be assessed by the faculty of all participating colleges. From there, the best 5 outputs from all categories will be picked. The best 5 outputs will be presented via plenary on May 14-15, 2025. All outputs shall be showcased in the various areas in PLM.
Scoring system
Standardized rubrics shall be used in assessing all the outputs. For the College of Medicine, the integrated learning activity will comprise 20% of their final examinations. In the case of students from the CN, CPT, and DSW, the incentives for participating shall be at the discretion of their respective colleges. All participants will be required to accomplish activity and peer evaluation forms by the end of the activity.
