PSA CARAVAN
The one-stop services hub was part of the HRDO Caravan Series: Government Services Access Express, a project by the Human Resource Development Office of the University of the Philippines Manila aimed at providing employees with convenient access to government services within the university.
Having the necessary civil documents as a Filipino resident is a must, whether one is still a child or an individual getting ready for an application for their valid IDs. Aspiring employees are also required to submit a proof of their identity, oftentimes their Birth Certificate, when applying in any government positions. In this regard, the Human Resource Development Office recognizes the significance of having the primary civil documents for its employees and constituents; therefore, conducting the PSA Civil Registry System Caravan, in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), formerly known as the National Statistics Office, and the Information Management Service (IMS). This caravan was held on April 16, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the 8F Social Hall of the UP-PGH Building. Attendees of this caravan have the opportunity to consult with PSA regarding their civil registration and request for copies of birth certificate, certificate of marriage, death certificate, certificate of no marriage, and certificate of no death, as applicable.
The event began with plenty of pre-registered attendees, double-checking the documents they have at hand, filling out the request forms, for the smooth processing of the services they wish to avail during the caravan. The inquiry desks are also pooled with participants inquiring about their civil registration, especially for those who would like to clarify specific details about their or their relatives’ documents.
The eagerness of employees having their documents requests processed and issued on the same day has continued until the afternoon session. Due to influx from walk-in participants, a separate queuing line was formed to cater the pre-registered attendees while ensuring all participants will still be accommodated.
A total of 185 participants and 315 issued certificates, hailing from UP Manila and UP PGH, have availed the consultation and issuance services offered by PSA, conducted closer to their workplace with more efficiency and no hassle process.
