Membership in GeoSTORM is intended for students and researchers whose work aligns with the laboratory’s core research directions. Prospective members should be actively engaged in, or planning to pursue, topics related to GeoSTORM's research themes.
We primarily accept students from the following programs:
Meteorology
Environmental Science
PhD in Data Science
Interested applicants are encouraged to contact the Lab Head with a brief description of their proposed research, including objectives, datasets (if applicable), and expected timeline. Admission to the laboratory is selective and based on alignment with ongoing work, availability of supervision, and resource capacity.
Please note that assignment of physical workspace within the laboratory is not guaranteed and remains subject to approval, depending on availability and research needs.
Requests for external mentorship (e.g., students from other universities) are considered on a case-by-case basis. These arrangements are coordinated directly with the Lab Head and are not processed as formal laboratory membership.
At present, GeoSTORM is not actively accepting interns.
Students seeking internship opportunities within IESM may instead contact the Institute’s Research and Extension Office.
Openings, when available, are typically coordinated at the institute level rather than directly through the laboratory.
