The features of this application is divided into four (4) core modules. Each module contains functionalities created to give users an enjoyable, intuitive, and optimized experience. The modules and their functionalities are detailed below:
• Sign Up
Unregistered users can create accounts. Necessary information will be needed as input, including:
(a) Display Name
(b) Email
(c) Password
• Login
Registered users can to log in to the application using their provided account credentials: email and password.
• Logout
Registered users can terminate their session in the application when not in use.
• Profile Page
Registered users can view and edit their profiles, save their Home/Work locations, and mark gasoline stations as favorites.
• Location Detection
GPS is utilized to determine the user’s current location.
• Navigation Integration
Users are suggested routes and provided directions to reachable gasoline stations.
• Search Functionality
Users can search for nearby gasoline stations based on their current location.
• Filter Functionality
Users can filter gasoline stations based on:
(a) Distance: Gasoline stations will be filtered by proximity to the user’s current location.
(b) Station: Gasoline stations will be filtered by specific station names or brands.
(c) Fuel Type: Gasoline stations will be filtered by available fuel types (e.g., gasoline, and diesel).
• Sort Functionality
Users can sort the list of gasoline stations by:
(a) Distance: Gasoline stations will be sorted based on their proximity to the user’s current location.
(b) Fuel Price: Gasoline stations will be sorted based on fuel prices, in ascending or descending order.
• Fuel Level Input
Users can input their current fuel level or remaining mileage manually.
• Remaining Range Calculation
Users are given a calculation of the estimated distance their vehicle can travel based on its current fuel level, should that be the information provided by the user.
• Gasoline Station Details
Users can overview detailed information about nearby gasoline stations, such as name and distance from the vehicle’s location.
• Price Information
Users are shown current fuel prices for nearby gasoline stations.
• Price Updating
Users can update fuel prices for gasoline stations.
• Price Reliability Indicator
Users are provided an indication of the reliability of price information based on when the prices were last updated.
