The Experience

Today marks the beginning of my official thesis journey. EDS199 has opened along with the files. Despite my months of worries, *I'm beginning with a blank slate*. Turns out I can't pursue my EDS196 topic because I find AI a sensitive topic. Regardless of its potential, the content it produces and where they come from cannot be guaranteed.

But I've ventured on a new topic! It's something I like and close to me: the effectiveness of no fail policy, specifically with regards to assessment. Deep inside, I believe the process of assessment has got to be compromised (with respect to prior pandemic practices). I'm building it so structured that it's scary. One of the many things I learned in my program is that no matter how organized a system is, you need a room for mistake (which is why evaluation is an iterative process).

Looking Forward

I need to balance structured planning while allowing flexibility for changes.
