The Experience

Today, I have finished drafting my research instruments (See Attachment E.1.1), and I have submitted them to my research adviser. For my proposal, my research adviser (See Attachment B.3.2) has informed me that they have read it and provided comments.

I am also starting to make progress in looking for a potential respondent, particularly for distance learning experts. I have sent an email to the list of distance learning experts provided to me by our program chair. I am yet to receive a reply, but I am hopeful.

Looking Forward

This stage of instrument development and expert recruitment has taught me the importance of timely progress alongside patience. Moving forward, I plan to carefully review my adviser's comments on the proposal and make necessary revisions while waiting for responses from the potential distance learning experts.

I'm also curious about best practices for engaging busy professionals as research participants. Perhaps there are strategies I could employ to make participation more appealing or convenient for these distance learning experts, such as offering flexible interview scheduling or highlighting the direct relevance of my research to their field.

As I continue to develop this project, I'm reminded that research is as much about adaptability as it is about planning. The coming days will reveal whether I need to adjust my approach to expert recruitment or if my current strategy will yield the necessary participants.
