The College of Social Sciences and Philosophy Ethics Review Board (CSSP-ERB) invites nominations for thenext Chairperson of the CSSP Ethics Review Board.
The CSSP-ERB is the ethics review body of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, University of the Philippines Diliman. Its core mandate is to protect the safety, rights, and welfare of human participants and affected communities in social science research while taking into account the interests and needs of researchers and complying with the requirements of applicable laws, rules and issuances of regulatory authorities.
WHO MAY NOMINATE
Any faculty, staff, student, or interested candidate from CSSP may submit nominations.
WHO MAY BE NOMINATED
Nominees must possess the following qualifications:
Must have served as a member of a Research Ethics Board (ERB) or as a Review Panel Chair, preferably within the CSSP-ERB. Prior experience in other ERBs may be considered.
Must have completed the Basic Research Ethics Training (BRET) of the PHREB or equivalent research ethics training recognized by the CSSP-ERB.
Additional or advanced research ethics training may be considered an advantage but shall not be required.
Must have experience in research and research ethics review.
UP and CSSP Administrators (e.g., Chancellor, Dean, Department Chairs) cannot be nominated.
REQUIREMENTS
The nomination documents shall be submitted to the CSSP-ERB (csspethicsboard.upd@up.edu.ph). The documents should include:
The duly filled out nomination form (CSSP-ERB Admin Form 01)
Curriculum Vitae of nominee
Evidence of BRET and other relevant training

27 July 2026 (Mon) Submission of Dean's Endorsement to the Chancellor
