The CSSP-ERB is composed of an Executive Committee and Independent Review Panels. The Executive Committee is the CSSP-ERB’s policy-making arm and is composed of the CSSP-ERB Chair and Officers, and the Review Panel Chairs. 

On the other hand, the Independent Review Panels are composed of the Panel Chair, Panel Vice-Chair, Secretary and members. The CSSP-ERB review panels represent different disciplines in CSSP whose clustering is decided on by the CSSP-ERB Executive Committee. The assignment of protocols to respective review panels is based on the academic discipline and nature of the study. Independent review panels are tasked to perform institutional review and issue Ethics Clearance or research ethics approval to study protocols submitted for its consideration.
