Dr. P.S.V.S Sai Prasad Received the M.Sc. degree in mathematics and the M.Tech. degree in computer science from Sri  Sathya Sai University, Anantapur, Prasanthinilayam, India, in year 1997 and 2001, PhD degree in computer science from the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, India, in the year 2014.


He is currently an Professor with the School of Computer and Information Sciences, University of Hyderabad. He has authored or coauthored more than 30 publications in national/international journals and conferences. His research interests include Rough Sets, Fuzzy-Rough Sets, Soft Computing, and Big Data Analytics. 



He is recipient of Best Thesis Award for his thesis entitled “Scalable Reduct Computation Strategies” at 1st International Conference on Rough Sets and Knowledge Technologies 2014 (ICRSKT 2014) at JNTU, Hyderabad.  His  Ph.D was done under the guidance of Prof. C. Raghavendra Rao, School of CIS, University of Hyderabad. He is also received Best Paper Award in NCETSC’ 11 (National Conference On Emerging Trends in Soft Computing-11) at Pune, Runner up for best paper award in MIWAI-2012 (Multi-Disciplinary International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence) at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He is member of Indian Society for Rough Sets(ISRS), International Rough Set Society(IRSS), ACM, ACM-SIGKDD.
