BIOGRAPHY
Dr. K. Sindhu completed her master’s degree from Government Victoria College, Palakkad, in Zoology. After obtaining CSIR-JRF, she worked on her PhD in the area of nanoparticle synthesis using polyphenols and demonstrated its anti-carcinogenic effect in breast cancer cells. She was awarded the Ph.D. for her work by the University of Madras. During her post-doctoral tenure at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Tirupati, she got accustomed to molecular docking studies involving protein-DNA interactions. With skill sets in nanotechnology, biochemistry, and cell biology, she aspires to unravel the intricate cellular responses to mechanical forces in a normal and cancer microenvironments.
