Grant Writing:

Campus-wide there is not specific grant writing assistance available. We do hope to be able to offer this type of training in the future from the Division of Research. However, the UNLV Libraries has a webpage that dedicates a section to Books in the UNLV Libraries regarding grant writing and funding that may provide you some resources. 

You can reach also out to the Office of Research at the School of Medicine - both Cathleen Danheiser and Alexa Doromal can provide assistance in preparing a proposal. When you get to the Office of Sponsored Programs portion of submitting a proposal, you would reach out to your OSP Pre Award person, Yashia Marshall.

Some departments have funding to hire someone to help write grant proposals. I would reach out to Dr. Kuhls and see if this option is available to you.

Also, Michele Padilla, OSP, recently presented an hour long course on preparing budgets for proposal submission. You can enroll and watch that hour long video here. In addition, the Division of Research is offering a 13-week Researcher Series Training Course this Fall. You can sign up for as many or as little of the sessions as possible. They are held on Wednesdays from 11:00am to Noon. Even if you can't attend the webinars at that time, you can register and watch a recorded session at a later time.
