If you've got the grades to go to the University of Nevada, Reno, family finances shouldn't stand in your way.
That's why there's The Nevada Guarantee. If you're a Nevada resident pursuing an undergraduate degree and you come from a low-income family, we'll guarantee you free tuition, fees and books, plus all the academic and social support you'll need to graduate in four years or less.
Eligible undergraduate students are promised gift aid that covers registration and mandatory fees and books for 15 credits each fall and spring semester for four years as long as they make satisfactory academic progress.
Gift aid includes grants and scholarships from federal, state and institutional sources. Gift aid is financial aid that does not require repayment.
Students are automatically enrolled in the First in the Pack Program that provides academic and social support.
Nevada resident admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno
Full–time undergraduate student
Family income of $50,000 or less OR Pell-grant eligible as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Maintain financial aid satisfactory academic progress
Every year, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Institutional Methodology for FAFSA-Ineligible Students form between October 1 and February 1 and select the University of Nevada, Reno to receive your information (School Code: 002568)
Check your MyNEVADA account "To Do list" to be sure you have a complete financial aid file (June 1 priority deadline for documents related to verification, if applicable)
