This award provides Nevada residents, DACA or undocumented Nevada residents, whose Expected Family Contribution (EFC) falls within Federal Pell Grant eligibility range, enough grant funds to pay for 12 credit hours of tuition and fees each semester, plus another $1,000 for books for the school year.
This program will be effective beginning fall semester 2020.
The award varies based upon the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Alternate Need Determination Form (assuming the EFC would have been Federal Pell Grant eligible if able to complete the FAFSA). The actual award value range is $1,700 to $8,000.
Selected students will be notified of an award within his or her MyUNLV Communication Center.
Must be a Nevada resident, DACA Nevada resident or Undocumented Nevada resident.
The FAFSA or Alternate Need Determination Form must demonstrate an EFC within a Federal Pell Grant eligibility range.
U.S. Citizens or eligible non-citizens must complete the FAFSA each year by the December 1 priority consideration deadline.
DACA or Undocumented Nevada residents must complete the Alternate Need Determination Form each year by the December 1 priority consideration deadline.
Must be admitted to UNLV by November 1.
Must enroll and complete at least 12 credit hours per semester.
Cumulative GPA must be 2.25 or higher each semester.
Cannot exceed 135 completed credit hours.
