We are inviting applications for Cohort 3 of CREA:TE! We offer full scholarship (covering tuition, fees, and books) for scholars admitted to the program. This is a 2-year, in-person Master's program in Special Education with two focus areas: Autism and Early Childhood Special Education.

October 2025
The faculty team of Project CREA:TE shared recruitment strategies and preliminary program evaluation data at the Council for Learning Disabilities (CLD) conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had a great time exchanging ideas and experiences with program coordinators of various special education teacher programs in other states.

We are so proud of our cohort 1 scholars for completing their program and continued dedication to serving students with disabilities. The faculty team had fun celebrating the scholars' major accomplishment and wish all of them the very best in their career.
August 2024
The faculty team of Project CREA:TE attended the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) Conference in Arlington, VA. OSEP is the federal agency that funds Project CREA:TE. Our faculty shared recruitment and retention strategies with other project directors and learned about other projects across the nation that also aim to prepare educators to serve children with disabilities.
March 2024
We are ready to start the admission process for Cohort 2 of Project CREA:TE and welcome more scholars to the group!
Students with bachelor degrees in Elementary Education OR in Special Education: Generalist who are current full-time teachers are eligible for selection to Project CREA:TE. If accepted into Project CREA:TE, your education and associated fees (e.g., textbooks, materials) will be paid for by the project.

November 2023
The Project CREA:TE team is excited to have this opportunity to support teachers in learning and delivering effective teaching practices for students with autism in Southern Nevada. They are working hard to prepare for the launch of the project, which is expected to begin in the spring term of 2024.
