Onboarding is the process of preparing a new employee/intern to work at an organization. Onboarding can include pre-hire requirements related to health and safety, and information training to help the employee be successful at the site.
Onboarding requirements vary by internship site. Read the details below to understand your onboarding requirements and when they should be completed. Please work with your internship coordinator, Bobbie Jo Trude, if you have questions or concerns about the onboarding process.
Student Fees: $54.45
(Onboarding compliance is required by May 1st for summer and fall internships, and Dec 1st for spring internships).
PreCheck SPH Immunizations Tracking:

Create a Pre-Check Account per direction.
After you pay your student fees $54.45, upload your medical documents.
Students must demonstrate evidence of vaccination or a positive IgG antibody titer for each of the following vaccines: TDaP, MMR, Varicella, HepB, COVID-19, and Influenza.
Additional Health Requirements include TB test (QuantiFERON Blood Test), Pre-Internship Physical, and Evidence of Health Insurance.
You may use a medical professional of your choice, but the UNLV Student Health Center is available at no cost for all enrolled students.
Do NOT complete a background check or drug test until assigned by the SPH Internship Coordinator, Bobbie Jo Trude. This will be completed after your Internship Project Proposal has been approved.

University of Nevada Las Vegas - SPH - Drug Test
Student must demonstrate evidence of a clear (negative) drug test. Drug tests are scheduled through pre-check and reviewed by a 3rd part Medical Review Officer (MRO), not the internship coordinator.
10 Panel + Oxycodone Urine Drug Test includes the following (NV):

Students are responsible for all costs associated with onboarding. Medical costs may vary, depending on the student's health history and medical insurance benefits. For compliance, all onboarding requirements are managed through a third-party system, PreCheck. Do not email medical information to the SPH Internship Coordinator or your Internship Site Supervisor. The Student Health Center is available for no cost or reduced medical services for all enrolled students.
