The Stepping Stones curriculum is a cross-institutional effort from the Unizin Consortium to prepare faculty to use learning analytics data ethically, effectively, and equitably. This foundational curriculum is focused on learning analytics available within individual Canvas course sites.
These resources are intended for use by facilitators who will use their workshop planning and facilitation skills to create and deliver the learning experience for their instructors, situated within the context of your unique institution. Our materials have been designed to accommodate a variety of audiences, goals, modalities, workshop structures, and outcomes. Once you’ve reviewed the Stepping Stones resources, we encourage you to establish your workshop goals, then organize and adapt these resources in support of your goals.
Note: You may need to open your institution's Canvas Commons before you will be able to access this link. You can also search "Stepping Stones" in Canvas Commons to find the resource.
This is a beginning. Our hope is that you will adapt and use these resources, then report what you learned and tell us about the improvements you made. We hope you’ll share your examples, insights, workshop designs and even Canvas sites that you’ve developed using these materials. In this way, we have the potential to grow our library of resources and refine our practices over time.
The Unizin Teaching & Learning Faculty Development subcommittee
The Faculty Development subcommittee supports classroom practitioners at Unizin institutions. We want to move faculty along a path toward better, more fully realized practice with learning data.
