Eduardo Montijano

Position: Associate Professor (Team coordinator)

Short bio: Eduardo received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Universidad de Zaragoza, Spain, in 2008 and 2012 respectively. He was a faculty member at Centro Universitario de la Defensa, Zaragoza, between 2012 and 2016. His research interests are in the field of distributed algorithms applied to cooperative control and perception of multi-robot systems. 

His Ph.D. obtained the extraordinary award of the Universidad de Zaragoza in the 2012-2013 academic year.

Pablo Pueyo Ramón

Position: Ph.D. student (DGA scholarship 2019-Present)

Advisors: Eduardo Montijano and Ana C. Murillo

Short bio: Pablo Pueyo received the Bachelor in Computer Science from Universidad de Zaragoza in 2015. He received the Masters in Mobile Informatics from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca in 2018. He has worked abroad for some international companies, from 2015 to 2018. From 2019, he is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Computer Science and Systems Engineering at the University of Zaragoza, funded by a DGA grant. His main areas of research are multi-robot systems, aerial system applications and control of robots applied to cinematography, among others.

Sara casao martinez

Position: Ph.D. student (2019-Present)

Advisors: Eduardo Montijano and Ana C. Murillo

Short bio: Sara Casao received the B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering and the M.Eng. in Industrial Engineering (spec. Mechatronic) from the University of Zaragoza in 2016 and 2019 respectively. She is a Ph.D. Student in the Department of Computer Science and Systems Engineering at the University of Zaragoza. Her current research interests are based on the analysis of high level information acquired from multiple cameras.

Eduardo Sebastián Rodríguez

Position: Ph.D. student (FPU scholarship 2020-Present)

Advisors: Eduardo Montijano and Carlos Sagüés

Short bio: Eduardo Sebastián received the B.Eng. in Electronic and Automatic Engineering (Hons) and the M.Eng. in Electronics (Hons)  from the University of Zaragoza in 2019 and 2020 respectively. He is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Computer Science and Systems Engineering at the University of Zaragoza, funded by a FPU national grant (1st rank). From April-2022 to August-2022 he visited the Existential Robotics Laboratory supervised by Prof. Nikolay A. Atanasov. He is visiting Prof. Atanasov again from May 2024 to November 2024 as a Fulbright Scholar. His current research interests include nonlinear control, distributed systems, multi-robot systems and power electronic converters.

David morilla Cabello

Position: Ph.D. student (FPU scholarship 2022-Present)

Advisors: Eduardo Montijano

Short bio: David received a Bachelor's in Electronics, Robotics, and Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Malaga in 2020 and a Master's in Robotics, Graphics, and Computer Vision from the University of Zaragoza. During this programme, he was granted a Robotics Student Fellowship by ETH to work in the V4RL. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science and Systems Engineering at the University of Zaragoza, funded by a FPU national grant. His current research interests include active pereception, drone control and multi-robot collaboration.
