The (Department of Architecture Engineering/University of Sulaimani) and (Sulaimani Polytechnic University) successfully hosted the 1st international conference on the development in architecture under the theme Toward a New Local Architecture .
The event was held at Grand Millennium Hotel of Sulaimani on 14-15 November 2018. The conference hosted a very well-knows pioneers in the field to give their speech as keynote speakers. The scientific committee selected 30 researches to be presented at the event which covered the following topics:
- Urban Design in Historic Cities.
- Vernacular Architecture & Sustainable Design.
- Critical Regionalism & Architectural Identity.
- New Trends in Architectural Conservation.
- Contemporary Architecture & Heritage in Kurdistan Region.
- Sarai Building in Sualimani City.

بەشی تەلارسازی زانکۆی سلێمانی لەگەڵ زانکۆی پۆلیتەکنیکی سلێمانی هەڵدەستن بە رێکخستن و کردنەوەی یەکەمین کۆنفرانسی نێوەدەوڵەتی تەلارسازی لە هەرێمی کوردستاندا لە ژێر ناونیشانی (بەرەو تەلارسازییەکی خۆماڵی نوێ -Toward A New Local Architecture-) و خۆشحاڵن بە بانگهێشت کردنی گشت دامودەزگا حکومییەکان و کەرتی تایبەتی ناوخۆییەکان و نێودەوڵەتییەکان بۆ بەشداری کردن لەم کۆنفرانسەدا.
The (Department of Architecture Engineering/University of Sulaimani) and (Sulaimani Polytechnic University) are pleased to invite all governmental, private, local and international institution to attend and participate in its 1st international conference on the development in architecture under the theme Toward a New Local Architecture to contribute with researches and visions focusing on local architecture and relevant fields and specialities.
