Introduction
The IEEE Women in Engineering Student Branch Affinity Group of the University of Jaffna (IEEE-WIE-SBAG-UoJ) is excited to announce the upcoming one-day Cybersecurity Bootcamp, titled "Empowering Diversity in Cybersecurity through Gender-Inclusive Education" which is funded by the IEEE R10 WIE - DEI Grant 2024 and Google exploreCSR award 2023/2024 between University of Jaffna and University of Melbourne is scheduled to take place on the fourth day following the Google exploreCSR Summer School on Machine Intelligence (GeSSoMI-2024). This Bootcamp aims to empower undergraduate students from Sri Lankan universities by providing valuable insights and knowledge in cybersecurity.
Zero Trust Architecture
This session explores Zero Trust Architecture, focusing on its principles and components. It stresses verifying every user and device requesting access, regardless of their network location. The benefits of Zero Trust in enhancing security and managing cyber risks are highlighted.
Emerging Trends in Cybersecurity Research
This informative session explores the latest in cybersecurity research. Participants will gain insights into emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities. Led by an academic professional, this TechTalk offers valuable knowledge to cybersecurity enthusiasts, researchers, and practitioners.

Security Monitoring with Wireshark
This would be a hands-on session where participants will engage in guided exercises, paired programming, and group collaboration using Wireshark to analyze network traffic and detect security threats.
