2. IQAC Bylaws -

The copies of Bylaws for the Internal Quality Assurance Cells approved by the Senate are available at the IQAU office and can get the copies on request.

Announcement:

UGC has advised to transform all the existing study programs into the Sri Lanka Qualifications Frame Work (SLQF). All the new Study Programs have to be based on SLQF and should obtain approval from UGC. Your cooperation in this regard is very much awaited.

Internal Review of the study Programs:

All the study programs have to have internal review to evaluate themselves strength and weaknesses to improve further. This is an inner cyclic process and it could be done within the period of external review. Those recommendations of internal review could be considered to rectify the weaknesses and thereafter formal external review could be held in 5 year cycle. Further information can be obtained from IQAU office.

The University of Jaffna received final review report of Institutional Review (IR) from the QAC on 15.3.2019 for confirmation.


Program Reviews

  • 2019: Program reviews for the Medical Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, Siddha Medicine (Indigenous Medicine) and Agriculture will be held in early part of 2019. SERs of Agriculture and Siddha Medicine should be submitted before 10.04.2019 and Medicine and Allied Health Sciences before June, 2019 at QAC situated at Punchi Borella, Colombo.
  • 2018 : Program reviews site visits over.

Participation of Sri Lankan delegates to the 11th INQAAHE Biennial Forum - 2018 at Mauritius during 2-4 May, 2018


Meeting with Professor Andrew George (Deputy Vice-Chancellor) and Professor Rakesh Kanda (Vice Dean International) of Brunel University London regarding academic collaboration between University of Jaffna and Brunel University London on 11.02.2018, Sunday at Hilton Hotel, Colombo.

Handing over ceremony taken place on 30.01.2018 at the Board Room of University of Jaffna. Prof Selva, Mr.Packiyasothy (Secretary to the Ministry of National integration and Reconciliation, Dr.Mrs.Ganeshamoorthy, Dr.Surendrakumarn (Community Medicine) Dean/Engineering, Head/Interdisciplinary studies, all other staff, DR/Administration, and staff members were participated.

Hands on training on "Creating Webpage to the administrative sections" and editing the webpage to deliver updated information to the students, staff and the University Community was held on 23.01.2018 at the Computer Unit at 1st floor of the Library @ 1.30 - 4.00 pm. Dr.E.Y.Charles addressed the session and created e-mails to the admin sections and the staff . Director /IQAU conducted the training subsequently.

Institute of Engineers of Sri Lanka (IESL) team visited on 09-10 January 2018 to review the Study program of Bachelors of Engineering for recognition.
