AMRANE Abdeltif

1998: Thesis Director Enabling Degree (Univ. Rennes 1) / 1991: PhD in Chemistry (Univ. Rennes 1) / 1988: Master (DEA) in Chemistry (Univ. Rennes 1) / 1987: Chemical Engineering Degree (USTHB – Algeria).

Since more than 20 years his research is entirely devoted to the development of combined processes for the removal of organic pollutants in effluent wastewater and gaseous emissions within the CIP team.

He has managed more than 20 PhD theses as thesis director and has also co-managed more than 30 PhD theses. He has been involved as a manager or a participant in several national and international projects, as well in international collaborations (Algeria, Belgium, Hungary, Iran, Lebanon, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Tunisia…).

He has published more than 600 international papers including 15 papers in press. He is the co-Editor of five books (Elsevier). He has also published 12 chapter books and has about 130 international and 20 national oral communications.

Tewfik Soulimane

Prof. Tewfik Soulimane received his B.Sc. (Dip.-Ing.) in Chemical Engineering (1985), M.Sc. (Dipl.-Chem.) in Chemistry (1988) and Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) degrees (1993) from the Technical University RWTH-Aachen, Germany. In close collaboration with the Max-Planck Institute for Biochemistry, Martinsried, he received the Habilitation award from the RWTH-Aachen in 2000. In 2001, Prof. Soulimane joined the Swiss Light Source, Villigen, Switzerland, as group leader before moving to a faculty position at the University of Limerick in 2005.Prof. Soulimane currently serves as Chair for Molecular Structural Biology, Head of Department of Chemical Sciences, Head of School of Natural Sciences, and managing director of the MOSAIC research group within the University. During his Tenure at the University, he directed the Industrial Biochemistry course for a decade, led the Health theme of the MSSI and established the highly successful Biomaterials Cluster at the Bernal Institute.

Madjid Fathi

Prof. Fathi has established the Institute of KBS &KM at the University of Siegen in Germany after his return from US in 2004. He has been graduated with the degree of masters in computer science in 1986, followed by PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 1991 and habilitation (above PhD) in computer science and automation in 1998 in Germany, he also substituted Software Engineering Institute till 2000. Since then he was a visiting professor in US till he got to Siegen.

Abdelbaki Benamor

Prof. Abdelbaki Benamor is a Research Professor in Gas Processing Centre (GPC) at Qatar University, with a Chemical Engineering background). Dr. Benamor is among the top researchers in Environmental Engineering in Qatar with more than twenty years’ experience in academic and industrial research and development. His research addresses the fundamental and technical issues related to energy, water and environment. His research interest includes development of novel efficient technologies for CO2 capture from natural and flue gases and conversion it into valuable products using thermal and electrochemical processes; treatment of wastewater and produced water using novel adsorbents and advanced membrane processes; development of innovative electrochemical techniques for heavy metals detection in water bodies, He has successfully secured more than 4.8 million $ as research and industry grants in collaboration with international recognized institutions in Europe, Asia and North America. Dr Benamor has authored and co-authored considerably more than 120 articles in Scopus journals. Currently, his h-index is 43 (6559 citations) according to Google Scholar. In recognition of his contributions to his services, he was awarded Qatar University services award in 2016.
