Post offices and Police Station
There are two post offices in Urbino, one in the center, in via Bramante, 28 (telephone number +39 0722 377917) and the other outside the center in via Yuri Gagarin, 6 (telephone number +39 0722 350379).
Near this post office there is also the Police Station, in via Yuri Gagarin, 2 (+39 0722 309300).
Stores
In case of need, there are several pharmacies in Urbino. Farmacia Maroccini, Farmacia Comunale and Farmacia Centrale Libonati, located in Piazza della Repubblica, 9 (telephone number, 0722 329829).
There are two laundries in Urbino: Lavapiù in the center, and Lavanderia Ecologica, located in Via Nicolo' Pellipario, 3 (2 minutes walk from Santa Lucia).
There are also several tobacco shops (marked by a big ‘T’ sign), where you can buy, among other things, the bus tickets. Among them, in the city center, Tabaccheria Centrale, Tabaccheria Jolly, Iquos Premium Partner Urbino and Zazzeroni Silvia.
If you are looking for a shopping mall, two of them are just outside the city walls: at the Santa Lucia, above the bus station, you find a supermarket, several clothing stores, a bar where you can also have lunch, an hair salon, an electronics store and a housewares store. At the Consorzio http://www.consorziocenter.com/ you also find different shops, a bar, a supermarket and a gymn. Another supermarket is in Trasanni, a suburb 3 km from the center.
Internet connection and telephony
Urbino offers internet connection in the whole city and all the university buildings. The main available connection is EDUROAM, for which you can ask the credentials to your home institution. Many of the hotels, cafes and B&Bs indicated will offer free wifi inside their structures.
