How to reach Urbino

By airplane:

By train:

The nearest train station is Pesaro. (You can either purchase train tickets online using the official web site of Trenitalia (www.trenitalia.com) or directly at the train station ticket office). Once you reach Pesaro train station, you will have to take a bus to Urbino. The bus schedule is available here. Set in the form: "Pesaro Stazione FF.SS" as the departure station and "Urbino Park S. Lucia" as the arrival location. In Pesaro, buses leave from the square in front of the train station. The bus company is called Adriabus. You can recognize the right bus by looking at the label in front of the bus. The bus to Urbino is indicated with "LV Linea Verde Urbino" (the return bus is indicated with "LR Linea Rossa Pesaro"). You have to get off the bus at: “Urbino parcheggio Santa Lucia”. The bus journey takes approximately one hour.


By car:

Oncein Urbino, follow directions for “Parcheggio Santa Lucia”.


Flying to Rome?

There is no direct bus service connecting Rome to Urbino, but there is a Fabriano-Urbino bus that coincides with the Rome Termini-Fabriano train schedule. See info at: https://www.adriabus.eu/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/22R.png. 

You have to get off the bus at: “Urbino parcheggio Santa Lucia”.

Take into consideration that, when public transportation is considered, Urbino can only be reached using busses. This means that Urbino is poorly connected to other towns during evening/night hours and during the weekends/holidays. Remember this when you are planning your journeys. Note also that taxis are available, but they are quite expensive.
