Analysis of Oat for the qualitative and quantitative determination of Avenanthramides
We are able to indentify and quantify the main Avenanthramides present in natural extracts of Oat or Oat-containing products via HPLC/MS method.
Our group published several papers in collaboration on Oat extracts and Avenanthramides:
- Scarpa, E. S.; Antonini, E.; Palma, F.; Mari, M.; Ninfali, P. "Antiproliferative activity of vitexin-2-O-xyloside and avenanthramides on CaCo-2 and HepG2 cancer cells occurs through apoptosis induction and reduction of pro-survival mechanisms" Eur. J. Nutr. 2018, 57, 1381-1395. Link

Synthesis of Glutathione Derivatives
GLUOS is an innovative and emerging science-based university spin-off, in the field of anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory chemicals.
GLUOS offers a novel and green technology for the production at industrial level of a new and efficient anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-influenza and anti-viral agent called C4-Glutathione (C4-GSH).
GLUOS business idea deals with production and marketing of C4-Glutathione, obtained through its innovative, highly efficient and low-cost process.
The team is composed by young researchers and professors in Chemical Sciences from University of Urbino Carlo Bo, covering all the necessary skills.
