#aoir symposium

The Association of Internet Researchers (http://aoir.org/) is an academic association dedicated to the advancement of the cross-disciplinary field of Internet studies. It is a member-based support network promoting critical and scholarly Internet research independent from traditional disciplines and existing across academic borders. The association is international in scope, and its conference is the major annual event in Internet research and related disciplines.

Below the Radar is the first in a series of annual flashpoint symposia supported by the Association of Internet Researchers (AoIR), in addition to the annual AoIR conference taking place in October each year. The symposia are smaller, targeted events that address emerging issues in Internet research, and symposia organisers present their themes and outcomes to the annual AoIR conference.
