The Formal Modeling of Ignorance (ForMI) Network consists of scholars who employ formal tools, including mathematical logic, Bayesian networks, game theory, and computational methods, to analyze and study ignorance. They apply these tools within the domains of social network theory, social epistemology, social choice theory, and computer science. Network members are also enthusiastic about exploring practical applications of formal models of ignorance in computer science and related fields to address various real-world issues.
Members of ForMI come from diverse universities worldwide and convene regularly, both online and in person, to collaborate on research articles, engage in discussions about open questions, and explore pertinent literature in the field.
