7th Grade Language Arts

Go Rockets!

My name is Hilary Reinhart and I am a PESOTUM native! I graduated from Unity High School in 2007 where I was actively involved working on the yearbook for all four years. I graduated from Millikin University in 2011 with a degree in Secondary English Education, a minor in History, and a Middle School Endorsement. I taught for four and half years at Cerro Gordo Junior & Senior High School. In addition to teaching, I also established UJHS's first IESA Speech Team. We've had a successful first two years and hope to continue to grow the program. (Be sure to see me if you're interested in participating!) I am currently working towards my Master's Degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois from which I anticipate graduating in December.

Who am I?

As an English teacher, some of my favorite things to do are read and write, and I mostly read YA fiction. I also enjoy traveling and visiting new places; I have been to multiple cities across the U.S., but my favorite trips were the two I took to Europe!

My partner Todd and I keep ourselves busy building and renting duplexes in Champaign, working out, bike riding, and running his three kiddos around to all of their activities!

We also spend a great deal of time taking care of and cleaning up after our 230 pound English Mastiff, Mischa. He is messy, big, and neurotic, but somehow we still love him.

Click on my name on the Goodreads shelf to the right for some of my favorite books, especially if you needs ideas of what to read next!
