The Budorcas Taxicolor resides in the Biogeographic Regions. The Takin live in elevations from 1000 to 4250 meters. They are very diverse and can thrive in rocky mountains, grasslands, forests, and valleys. They live in herds with up to 300 other Takins.
Other than their herd, they are not very social animals with other organisms. When warning others in their herd, they make a coughing sound and run to underbrush for shelter. When feeling in danger, they spray the underside of themselves with urine. It is unknown why they use this mechanism.
The Gutta-Percha Tree (Eucommia ulmoides) is a small tree native to China. monotypic family. Eucimmiaceae. The tree is almost endangered, due to the use of its bark for medicine.
The Yuuna Cypress (Cupressus duclouxiana) is native to China and is part of the Conifer Cypress family. The Yunna Cypress population is decreasing due to poor regeneration and over-exploitation.
