Students are further reminded to check this website regularly throughout the year.

Incontro con studenti/esse del Pre-Livello 1

Le persone che non hanno raggiunto il livello minimo per entrare nel lettorato di inglese della prima annualità sono invitate a partecipare all'incontro di presentazione del Corso di Riallineamento previsto per lunedì 27 ottobre alle ore 14.00 in Palazzetto Gorresio aula 6.
Saranno presenti anche le professoresse Pireddu e De Martino.

UPDATE- LM 2nd year timetable change

The class scheduled for Saturdays 10-12 (Group 8, Nick Abraham) has been discontinued and moved to Mondays 16-18 Gorresio 6 - ENROL HERE

The exact date and time of enrolment (2nd year, 3rd year and LM both years) will be posted here over the coming days. Do not contact teachers asking to join their classes, you will not receive a reply. 

Details about 1st year triennale enrolment will be posted here once the Placement tests have been completed.

Date Placement Test a.a. 2025-2026

Informiamo le matricole iscritte al Dipartimento di Lingue e Letterature Straniere e Culture Moderne che intendono studiare la lingua inglese che il Placement Test si effettuerà presso l'aula LL2 del Campus "Luigi Einaudi" (Lungodora Siena, 100) nelle seguenti date:

8, 14, 15, 16, 21, 23 ottobre 2025

Le iscrizioni al Test si apriranno sempre su questo sito a partire dal 1 ottobre.

Coloro che sono in possesso di un certificato esterno (Cambridge First Certificate, IELTS, ecc...) non devono iscriversi al Test ma dovranno presentarsi muniti dell'originale e una fotocopia della certificazione presso l'aula LL2 del Campus "Luigi Einaudi" nei seguenti giorni:

15 ottobre 09.30 - 12.00 / 14.30 - 16.00

16 ottobre 09.30 - 12.00 / 14.30 - 16.00

21 ottobre 09.30 - 12.00

prima di iscriversi al Test o di presentarsi con la propria certificazione.

1st , 2nd , 3rd Year triennale exams - Holding over a mark

Since each of these exams comprise two or more parts, students may now keep a pass mark from the earlier part(s) when they fail the overall exam. Each of the two or three parts must be taken together in the same initial session before the decision to hold over a result is made.

A pass mark of 12/20 for 1st year Use of English can be held over for the two subsequent sessions - students will only be required to sit the 1st Year Dictation - VALID FOR JANUARY 2026 ONLY.

A mark of 9/15 or higher for either 3rd Year Translation or 3rd Year Listening and Summary will be considered valid for the two subsequent sessions. Both parts must be taken together in the same initial session.

Students must request their mark to be held over. When the final results are posted on lettorati-english.unito.it there will be a link to a form where students can opt to keep their Part 1 result valid for the next two exam sessions. 

Students will have 3 days in which to communicate their decision via this form - do not email teachers.

Students who wish to "refuse" a final pass mark can do so in the usual way by emailing the co-ordinator for each year within 3 days of the results being posted.
