About UNITEEE
UNITEEE Violence and Incarceration Prevention is a community empowerment organization based in Norwalk, California. Our mission is to combat youth violence and support individuals impacted by violence and incarceration through evidence-based prevention strategies and mentoring programs.
Our Vision
We envision a society where every young person has the opportunity to thrive, free from the cycle of violence and incarceration. By fostering understanding, education, and self-empowerment, we aim to break these destructive cycles.
Our History
Founded by Marcus L. Woods, UNITEEE emerged from his personal experience. While incarcerated, Marcus laid the groundwork for the Uniteee Youth Violence Prevention program. His passion and commitment drive our efforts to remove violence and incarceration as options for young lives deemed high risk.
Key Initiatives
Education and Awareness: We provide educational resources to help youth understand the realities of violence and its consequences. By raising awareness, we empower them to make informed choices.
Mentoring Programs: Our mentorship initiatives connect young individuals with positive role models who guide them toward healthier paths. Through mentorship, we foster resilience and personal growth.
Community Engagement: UNITEEE collaborates with local schools, community centers, churches and other resource agencies. Together, we create safe spaces for dialogue, learning, and healing.
