Marianna Boero is Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Theory of Language at the University of Teramo (Italy), Department of Communication Sciences, where she teaches Semiotics and Semiotica della pubblicità e del consumo. She has previously worked as Research Fellow at the University of Teramo (2019-2020), as Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Toulouse (Laress, France, 2013), and as Visiting Professor at the University of Zadar, Odessa and Trnava. She has also taught Semiotics for Design at the D’Annunzio University, Semiotics at the NABA Academy in Rome and Semiotics of Fashion at the Sapienza University of Rome. Dr. Boero deals mainly with semiotics of the text, semiotics of advertising and consumption, semiotics of culture, socialsemiotics, and communication studies, and has published several papers and three scientific monographs on these topics. She has given many talks at national and international conferences, also participating to scientific events and research projects.

Romina Eramo is Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the University of Teramo (Italy), Department of Communication Science. Previously, she held a PhD degree in Computer Science and was Assistant Professor at the University of L’Aquila (Italy). Her research interests, in the Software Engineering area, include model-driven engineering, software quality, continuous software engineering, DevOps, and digital twins. She is involved in several program committees of international conferences, reviewing activities and conference organization. She published several articles in journals and proceedings of international events on her topics. She has been working on and leading different European and Italian research projects. She is currently the scientific coordinator for the AIDOART ECSEL-JU project.

Davide Fazio is a fixed-term researcher at the University of Teramo. He obtained a PhD in Philosophy, Epistemology and the History of Culture at the University of Cagliari. Since then, his research focuses on algebraic logic, algebras of logic, and their applications to formal epistemology and the foundation of physics. He has been involved in the organization of international conferences. He published articles in peer-reviewed international journals. Presently, he teaches "Logic and Artificial Intelligence", and "Paradigms and Scientific Cultures" at the University of Teramo. He is also member of the ALOPHIS (Applied LOgic Philosophy and the HIstory of Science) research group based at the University of Cagliari.

Raffaele Mascella is Associate Professor of Logic and Philosophy of Science and Rector Delegate for Teaching and Learning and ICTs. He teaches Logic and Argumentation Theory and Logic and Decision Making. In 2005 he received his doctorate in Epistemology and Mathematics Education and since 2005 he has been teaching in the Department of Communication Sciences. He Coordinated various Master programmes,  and has been a member of the Board of the Doctorate in Epistemology of Informatics and Social Changes (University of Teramo). His research interests include philosophy of mathematics, information and computation, decision theory, fuzzy logic and artificial intelligence.

Massimiliano Palmiero is a RTD-b researcher at the Department of Communication Sciences, University of Teramo, where he is teaching Psychology of Organization, Psychology of Communication and Psychology of Creativity. He obtained his PhD in Cognitive Psychology, Psychophysiology and Personality at the University of ‘Sapienza’, Rome, in 2007. He has been a research fellow at different national and international universities. He has been contracted to teach History and Methods of Psychology, General Psychology, Psychology of Personality and Individual Differences, Educational Psychology. His main research interests include creativity and divergent thinking, specifically the understanding of the key role of personality factors, cognitive and emotional factors in the creative process. Additionally, one of his main interests is to explore the extent to which creative potential can foster well-being across the lifespan. Danilo Pelusi received the degree in Physics from the University of Bologna (Italy) and the Ph.D. degree in Computational Astrophysics from the University of Teramo (Italy). Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the Department of Communication Sciences, University of Teramo. Editor of Springer, Elsevier and CRS books, and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence (2017-2020),IEEE Access (2018-present), IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems (2022-present) and IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems (2022-present), he is Guest Editor for Elsevier, Springer, MDPI and Hindawi journals. Keynote speaker, Guest of Honor and Chair of IEEE conferences, he is inventor of international patents on Artificial Intelligence. World’s 2% Top Scientist 2021, his research interests include Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, Information Theory, Machine Learning and Evolutionary Algorithms.

Luca Tallini received the Laurea in Mathematics "Magna cum Laude" from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 1991, the MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from Oregon State University, USA, in 1994 and 1996 respectively. From June 1998 to December 2002 he has been an Assistant Professor of Geometry at the Milan Polytechnic. From January 2002 he is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Teramo. His research interests include Coding Theory, Information Theory, Combinatorics, Discrete Mathematics, the Theory and efficient design of VLSI systems, of Communication systems, of Low Power consumption systems and of Asynchronous systems. He is Author of 80 publications on conference proceedings, volumes and journals of national and international level. He has served as referee for the journals "IEEE Transaction on Information Theory", "IEEE Transaction on Computers", "Design, Codes and Cryptography", "Discrete Applied Mathematics", and for various national and international conferences.


Stefano Traini  is Full Professor of Philosophy and Theory of Language of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the University of Teramo (Italy), where he teaches Semiotics. He graduated in 1991 at the University of Bologna (Advisor Prof. Umberto Eco). In 1995 he took the PhD in Semiotics, at the University of Bologna, Italy - Advisor: Professor Umberto Eco. Dissertation title: La connotazione nelle teorie semiotiche (Connotation in Semiotic Theories). He is member of the scientific commette of PhD Lettere (University of Turin). He is the author of the volumes: La connotazione (Connotation), Bompiani, Milan, 2001; Le due vie della semiotica. Teorie strutturali e interpretative (The Two Branches Of Semiotics: Structural And Interpretative Theories), Bompiani, Milan, 2006; Semiotica della comunicazione pubblicitaria (Semiotics of Advertising), Bompiani, Milan, 2008; Le avventure intellettuali di Umberto Eco (The Intellectual Adventures of Umberto Eco), La nave di Teseo, Milano. Main research areas: semiotic theory, text semiotics, semiotics of culture. At present his research is concentrating on the theoretical aspects of semiotic methodology.
