The conference is a fantastic place to fellowship, inspire, and grow in faith. But often, these conferences always end too soon!
Last year, many attendees expressed regret that they didn’t allow for more time to explore London with other believers. So ...this year, consider adding on a few days to decompress after the conference by enjoying the beautiful nature-filled region of Richmond-on-Thames.
Hi! My name is Susanne Lakin and I am coordinating this + Stay Longer activity.
Please see below for more details.
The Petersham Hotel is ideally situated—one block from the pristine trails that wend through wildflowers along the Thames. A block from the bus stop, where we’ll ride over to the Royal Kew Gardens. The hotel has a fabulous restaurant with a magnificent view, where we can reserve meals or have tea or drinks together, inside or on the lovely balcony. And two blocks from the hotel is a great promenade that gives views of the hotel, expansive gardens, and the Thames.
The plan is to gather while there and plan some fun day trips. In addition to visiting Kew Gardens, we can rent rowing skiffs and ply the river! Hiking, exploring the fun town of Richmond, shopping, enjoying high tea—it’s all there in Richmond, only a hop, skip, and a jump from the conference center—and London proper, should you want to spend a day (or more) visiting museums and other places of interest. Consider this your home base after the conference.
This is not a travel package you pay for in advance. However, if you would like to join us, please book your own room for the nights of July 27-29 (or longer) at the gorgeous Petersham Hotel (or any other nearby accommodations you choose).
It’s wise to book NOW, as rooms will be gone soon (I booked through Expedia and was given up to July 26 to cancel with a FULL refund, so there is NO risk to book your room even if you’re not sure you will come).
If interested, let us know by filling out THIS INTEREST FORM, so we can have an idea of numbers, dates, things you want to do, etc. And be sure to book your room right away (summer is peak season).
Excited to see you all there!
