School-Work Devices

As part of their middle school experience, each student will rent a Chromebook, a school-work device. Through out the year, we will have conversations with students to help them understand the difference between a school-work device and a personal device.

Because students use a school-work device daily, their technology skills will grow significantly. Staff and families will have regular opportunities to support students in their development of positive digital citizenship.

Teachers use Google Classroom to share classroom materials. Digital papers can be delivered to students, presentations can be shared, students can turn papers back into their teacher, and more in Google Classroom.

Device supplies:

  • A 14 inch or slightly larger laptop sleeve that does not resemble a backpack and

  • wired earbuds with a microphone

are on the supply list to make Chromebook use more effective.
