What can you tell me about physical education/P.E.?

6th graders enjoy P.E. for a full, 47-minute class period daily. We have two gyms, Neuman Gym which is nicknamed "the big gym" and Arends Gym or "the little gym."

What do students need for P.E.?

P.E. Uniform, deodorant, a lock, & tennis shoes

  • The P.E. uniform is pictured or a pair of black shorts and gray T-shirt with your student's last name on the back, across the shoulder blades.

      • KJHS P.E. uniforms sales will be held during the 6th Grade Welcome Night in May & at the beginning of the 22-23 school year. We can accept check or cash for payment.

      • T-shirts are $13 with name printed on back. Shorts are $10. Crewneck sweatshirts are $15.

      • Students are welcome to bring their own black shorts and gray T-shirts.

  • Deodorant to be kept in P.E. locker

  • A lock for the P.E. locker

      • Special note: Students will need a lock for their P.E. locker and a second lock for their hallway locker. Two locks with matching combinations & fully guaranteed at all U5 schools through your child's senior year cost $14. • Students will need tennis shoes daily.

What is 6th Grade Chorus like?

Students who choose to participate enjoy Chorus two days each week as 6th graders.

The best person to share about Chorus is Ms. Bruton, our Chorus teacher, and some of her students! To find out more about Chorus, watch the video.
