What will student learn about in music class?
Each grade level builds on musical skills from kindergarten to fifth grade. Students are assessed on 3-4 skills that they are expected to master each year. While these are the only skills that will appear on a report card, please click on the links below to go to a website with a list of skills and vocabulary that will be covered each year.
All music educators in Unit 5 utilize standards based grading. Students will be assessed throughout the year based on their proficiency in a skill.

3=Proficient: Student consistently demonstrates complete understanding/application of skill or concept.
2=Progressing: Student is unable to demonstration understanding or show application of skill.
1= Beginning: Student is unable to demonstrate understanding or show application of skill without significant support.
