Welcome to my page!
I am now in my 8th year as a school psychologist. I am currently placed at Evans Junior High School. I was born and raised in Bloomington, IL. I attended Holy Trinity and then Central Catholic High School for my K-12 education. I graduated in 2014 with my Bachelor's Degree in psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University. I attended graduate school at Eastern Illinois University where I obtained my Specialist in School Psychology in 2018.
I am also the 7th grade volleyball coach at EJHS. This will be my 8th year coaching at Evans, but I have been a volleyball coach for over 15 years. I played club and school volleyball starting in 4th grade through my sophomore year of college. I started coaching my freshman year of college and fell in love with it!
My favorite thing about my job is getting to work directly with students, especially in a counseling setting. I strive to help students understand their own mental health and identify ways to strengthen it. I love building relationships with students and being a safe person for them at school. I try to always have snacks and candy, which seems to help immensely with middle school kids!
My professional interests include mental health, grief, trauma, student athletes, and the LGBTQ+ community.
Outside of school, I live in Towanda with my wife Emily, son Louie, and 8 pets! My wife Emily and I got married in 2019. We welcomed our son Louie in July of 2022. We have acquired several pets during our time together and lovingly refer to our home as a zoo.
My personal interests include reading, baking, animal rescue/fostering, Harry Potter, Disney, The Office, drinking coffee, watching Packers football, and spending time with my family!
