The Inquiry Cycle and Interdisciplinary Units are an integral part of the MYP (Middle Years Programme. The main goal of learning through inquiry is it helps to enhance conceptual understanding. Here are some of the intended benefits:

Activity
The IB Middle Years Programme is all about understanding concepts through inquiry. To do this, each class breaks their units down into the following structure:
Statement of Inquiry: The BIG Idea
Global Context: Real-world application
Key & Related Concepts: Links to other learning
It helps to think about it like a telescope. You look first at the inquiry question to understand the "Why" of the unit. Then you filter that question through the lens of a global context and consider other key and related concepts.
