Veracross is our Learning Management System where all of your lesson plans for each class are posted. If you are out of school for any reason, you should be able to look at those lesson plans to understand what is being done in the course and if there are any tasks that are due.
The following Technology Orientation tutorials will help you understand how to see Lesson Plans and turn in Assignments. Let's practice submitting an assignment!
Go to the Student Schedule Overview on Veracross and click on your schedule.

Go to Veracross and click the green Submit Assignments button
Find your first assignment in the Student Orientation course using your Veracross assignment planner.
Open the Dropbox for our Venture course, upload the screenshot of your schedule, and hit Submit!

Fill in this Google Form to help generate ideas for your Introduction!
Copy this Google Slide Deck
Add your First name and Last Initial to the Title Slide
Create 5 questions that share Personal, NOT PRIVATE, information about yourself. NOTE: This quiz will be shared with all the new students and your parents.
5. Change the Presentation Title on the top left and then click Share on the top right
6. Change the Sharing settings to Share with United Nations International School. Then click Copy Link
7. Go to the Seesaw Activity: Upload Intro Quiz!
Click Add Response and Link, then Paste your Google Slide Deck Link and Submit

What are they and how are they used?
Practice using a Pomodoro timer to set up quick (25 minute) tasks and then record your progress.
How to create Tab Groupings AND SAVE THEM!!!
If...you forget this and your browser restarts, there's always CMD + Shift + T

Command + Shift + 3 — Take a screenshot of the entire screen
Command + Shift + 4 — Take a screenshot of a selected area (Drag over an area to select it)
Press CMD + Spacebar to open up Spotlight Search
Search Photo Booth and then hit Return
Try to find an area where your photo has even light hitting it.
Line your photo up so it's pretty straight
Press the red button to take a picture on Photo Booth
When you are happy with your photo, right-click and export to Pictures
Press CMD + Spacebar to open up Spotlight Search
Search Preview and then hit Return
Open your Photo in Pictures
Click to Show Markup Toolbar
If you need to Rotate your image, use the Box with the Arrow
If you need to Crop the image, Select the area you want to keep, and press the Crop Button
If you want to adjust the Brightness or Color of your image, select the Adjust Color icon.
Change the Exposure and Contrast to adjust your Brightness
Change the Temperature to adjust the Color
When you are happy with your photo, press CMD + S to Save
Find a piece of work you have uploaded to for work.
Practice the steps above in a small breakout group
Upload your Photos to the Veracross Dropbox
Go to Typing.com
Click Student Login and select Google and Allow
Click on Tests at the top and begin a 1-minute Race when I say go!
Go into Veracoss and open class and "view all assignments" and click assignment with a chat icon where a teacher has given you feedback. Give a single response to what your teacher wrote.
Take a screenshot (see above) before going into "Submit Assignments" in the top right of the Student Portal home screen.
Find the assignment "Upload Veracross Feedback Screenshot"
Go into the UNIS Acceptable Use Policy document. This was the document your family agreed to for the admissions into UNIS.
Please read over the "Student Agreement"
Complete the Digital Citizen Agreement form. Give a thumbs up when you are done. Raise hands for any questions.
While still in the UNIS Acceptable Use Policy document, we will make small groups to answer some "scenarios" when it comes to digital citizenship topics.
Please have one person in your group fill out the Digital Citizenship Scenarios Quiz, answer the best response you can think of and write in answers that you think are better than what is listed.
When you are done with your responses, submit answers.

The teacher will share the join code for up to 200 players. We will all be guests but winner can share their high score at the end.
